Born in Port-au-Prince on March 3,1941, Casimir completes primary school at the Petit Sémminaire Collège Saint-Martial and Collège Marcel Dauphin and secondary school, up to the upper sixth grade, at Lycée Louverture.

From his childhold he was attracted by the plastic arts. He started to draw very early and, in 1961,enrolled in the Port-au-Prince School of Arts. He gives up rather rapidly to work some times with the SNEM (National Service for the Eradication of Malaria), then open a hair-dressing salon, painting only during his spare time.

He seriously returns to painting in 1974 and, at the instigation of Ludovic Booz, specializes in the painting of historic scenes before turning to miniature painting.
