| Market#2 |
Born in 1949 in southern Haiti, Frank Louissaint, began his art education with a correspondence course from A.B.C. in Paris.
He graduated to painting and drawing classes at Le Centre d'Art in Port-au-Prince, first as a student, then ten years later as a teacher. Despite is humble beginnings and early naïve style, he has matured into a photorealistic painter with a burgeoning international reputation hinted at in the 1982 excerpt from Art News, quoted above.
